Bending
The bending technique
Bending can be carried out using a digital or manual tool in cold, hollow or with a ball, and by rolling and on a mandrel.

The bending process
The tube bending process consists in bending a metal tube into a specific shape.
The tube bending process is a meticulous process that requires specialized expertise and equipment to obtain precise and uniform bends, thus meeting the varied needs of industries such as automotive, aviation, construction, and many others.
1. Preparing the tube
First, the metal tube is inspected to ensure that it meets the required specifications. Then, it can possibly be heated to make it more malleable, especially if it involves hot bends.
2. Selecting the bending method
The choice between cold and hot bending depends on the characteristics of the material, the thickness of the tube and the complexity of the desired curvature. Cold bending is generally used for thin tubes and simple bends, while hot bending is preferred for thicker tubes and more complex bends.
3. Installation in the bender
The tube is then placed in a bender that applies a controlled force to the tube to bend it into the desired shape.
4. Bending the tube
Once the tube is properly positioned in the machine, the bending process begins. The bender applies a gradual force to the tube, gradually bending it according to the required curvature. Precise control of force and speed is essential for achieving an even and accurate curve.
5. Quality check
Once the bend has been achieved, the tube is removed from the bender and inspected to ensure that it meets the required specifications in terms of shape, dimensions, and surface quality.
6. Finishing and possible treatment
Depending on requirements, the bent pipe may undergo additional operations such as cleaning, polishing, or surface coating to meet specific project requirements.
