Metallurgical states

Modifying the metallurgical state

The metallurgical states mastered by TUBEXACT are as follows:

Annealed/hyperhardened
¼ hard nut
½ hard
¾ hard
 Ecroui 4/4 dur
Machine étirage de tubes

The processes for hardening a metal

1. The first is to mix one or more other elements, generally metallic, into the starting metal to make alloys.

2. The second way, whether the metal is pure or whether it is an alloy, is to work it out by cold deforming it. This is true for all metals and alloys of any kind. The more a metal is deformed, the more it hardens, until it breaks. When a metal is deformed and therefore “hard”, it no longer has its “flexibility”, its capacity to deform. To restore its “flexibility”, to “soften” it, simply heat it up and anneal it in an oven. The metal or alloy is then in its “softest” state, the annealed state.

When annealed metal is deformed under cold conditions, it crumbles, all the more so as the amount of deformation and the quantity of work hardening is greater, until it is no longer possible to deform it. Between these two states, there are several intermediate nut states.

FAQS

What is the response time for a price request?

We respond in maximum 48 hours if the raw material is available.

Do you have a minimum of manufacturing?

We study each of your projects on a case-by-case basis. We can produce from one unit, up to several hundreds of thousands of tubes.

Do you do tailor-made?

Yes, it is even our core business at TUBEXACT. We study the feasibility of the parts based on your plans.

Do you offer surface treatments?

Yes, we have a panel of subcontractors qualified in different forms of treatment: zinc plating, tinning, nickel plating, alogine, surtec etc.)

How do I order from TUBEXACT?

Send your price request preferably by email or phone. Whether feasibility is possible or not, an answer will be sent to you quickly (48 hours maximum).

What are the delivery times for TUBEXACT tubes?

Delivery times for Tubexact tubes vary depending on the complexity of the order and the availability of material stocks.
